Louisville, Kentucky

Louisville is situated in north-central Kentucky on the banks of the Ohio River which is the border between Kentucky and Indiana.  The Greater Louisville metropolitan area includes Jefferson County as well as  several bordering counties, including  3 counties in southern Indiana.  This area is commonly referred to as Kentuckiana.

Although geographically located in a Southern state, Louisville is an eclectic mix of Midwestern, Southern, and international cultures, and is occasionally referred to as either the northernmost Southern city or the southernmost Northern city in the United States. Louisville is one of the best kept secrets of the Midwest, full of big city events and entertainment, but plenty of small town southern charm.  More information about Louisville…
